Saudi Arabia and Qatar strengthen cultural ties through MoU

The Cabinets of Saudi Arabia and Qatar have approved a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cultural cooperation, marking an important step in strengthening ties between the two countries. The MoU, signed by the two countries’ respective Ministries of Culture, aims to strengthen cooperation in a wide range of cultural fields, including heritage preservation, architecture, visual arts, performing arts and literature.

The MoU outlines a comprehensive framework for joint action, including training programs, workshops and seminars for professionals and artists from both countries. The MOU also facilitates the exchange of works of art and archaeological artifacts, participation in cultural festivals, and joint strategic projects in various cultural fields.

In addition, the two countries will cooperate in art residency programs, share experiences in heritage preservation, enhance cultural activities and promote the implementation of UNESCO agreements. To further promote cultural exchanges, delegations and experts from both sides are encouraged to exchange official visits.

The Memorandum of Understanding marks a renewed commitment by Saudi Arabia and Qatar to strengthen cultural ties and promote mutual understanding. As the two countries continue to develop their economies and strengthen their cooperation, the agreement opens up new avenues for cultural exchange and cooperation, fostering stronger ties between the two countries.
